An admissions professional uses conversion rates to analyze data especially as it relates to leads and total enrollments. This analysis is important to pinpoint process inefficiencies that work against the objective to enroll students. Similarly, instructional designers also have learning outcomes and objectives.
Quantitative data mined through surveys and analysis of engagement records kept through a learning management system can become valuable resources, and provide insights to learning. The result is a change of the lesson plans and the creation of new rubrics.
The Challenge.
After training, a group of adults were not satisfied with the material or the experience, which surprised the instructional designer.
The Solution.
The instructional designer created a set of survey questions, which he then used to gauge the satisfaction of the user of his learning experiences.
